Waterloo International Chamber Music Festival
For its 30th anniversary, the Festival Mozart returns with a special edition that doubles its artistic offering: a 10-day residency and 12 outstanding concerts bringing together 30 Belgian and international musicians. A cultural landmark in Wallonia since 1996, the festival pairs internationally renowned soloists with emerging talents from the Young Artists Program, and welcomes Belgian composer Jean-Pierre Deleuze as composer-in-residence. Rooted in the region through its partnership with the Waterloo Academy of Music and the Royal Conservatories, the 2026 edition unites artistic excellence, intergenerational transmission, and cultural diplomacy.

Created with the support of Minister Serge Kubla, Mayor of Waterloo, the Festival Mozart is a unique festival inviting an exceptional number of International musicians staying in residence in Waterloo and performing together at nearly every concert of the festival.

Waterloo 2026 - September 10th till 21st
The Mozart Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary — the 27th edition since its creation in 1996, marking a significant milestone in our history. More than 15 artists join us in residence, including Alissa Margulis, Yuzuko Horigome, Marie Hallynck, Lily Maïsky and many others. The complete programme will be announced in June, and we look forward to welcoming you to celebrate this anniversary with us.
Nagakute 2023 - October 28 till November 3rd
In October 2023, the Festival Mozart successfully held its first Japanese edition in Nagakute, Waterloo's twin city, at the city's renowned Art Center. The festival also travelled to Yokohama and Tokyo, further strengthening cultural ties between Belgium and Japan through music.
